that you may enjoy the scenic beauty of this area We will spend five days on the trail
seeing either the forest come alive with the spring wildflowers or enjoy the blazing
colors of fall in the mountains This is, hands down, one of the greatest backpacking trips
San Juan Mountains
Come experience the Colorado Rockies as we hike through this rugged
wilderness area Spring will have arrived as we hike through fields of wildflowers
surrounded by majestic mountain peaks We will hike along spectacular canyons and
whitewater rivers, plus alpine scenery What more could you want This is the way to
experience the Rockies without the crowds So escape the heat and humidity of Chicagoland
by taking yourself or a group into the mountains of Colorado

Why not stay close to home and enjoy a delightful hiking experience
practically in your own backyard The Shawnee National Forest is known for its State Parks
and well kept trails This area we will be conquering is fairly easy with small hills
surrounding huge blocks of sandstone located throughout the area
